Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli obtained his bachelor in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University and was appointed as the Minister of Environment, Water Agriculture (MEWA) on 15th January 2015.
In his capacity as the Minister of Environment, Water Agriculture, Eng. Al-Fadhli is the chairman of the following institutions: Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO), Saudi Irrigation Organization, Agricultural Development Fund (ADF), the National Authority for Meteorology and Environment Protection, the National Water Corporation (NWC) and the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Co. (SALIC).
H.E. The Minister has an accumulated extensive experience in operational, projects and investment management. He is also known for his ongoing support to social responsibility programs, being an active member of the Children with Disability Association. He also supports training the national manpower and Saudization of jobs. In addition to his efforts to preserve and protect the national resources and agricultural development.
It is worth noting that Eng. Al-Fadhli brings in 13 years of experience in the oil industry before joining Almarai in 1996, where he was vice-chairman and director-general of Almarai central factories - Al-Kharj. Then he was appointed as the CEO of Almarai from 2000 to 2015. In terms of managerial positions, Eng. Al-Fadhli served as the chairman of the International Dairy Juice (IDJ) and the Dairy and Food Polytechnic set up by Almarai in collaboration with Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) to Saudize dairy industry. As well, Eng. Al-Fadhli was the chairman of the Modern Food Industries (7Days) and the United Farmers Holding Company, and board member of the Saudi Agricultural Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) and member of the Faculty of Engineering Council - King Saud University.
