Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 11 November 2020
Out of their common interest and mutual ambition, both the National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) and Jazan Energy and Development Company (JAZADCO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to capitalize on Estidamah’s practical knowledge and experience in sustainable agriculture, in order to develop JAZADCO’s agricultural practices, enhance its capacities and boost its agricultural production efficiency.
It is worth noting that Jazan Energy and Development Company (JAZADCO) is a Saudi Joint Stock Company established in 1993 to develop agricultural and livestock production. The Company is active in buying reclamation of agricultural lands; setting up botanic and animal agricultural projects, as well as operation of fisheries.
This MoU signed by both Estidamah and JAZADCO in line with the Company’s vision and ambition to implement more sustainable agricultural development projects by leveraging the expertise of Estidamah’s national calibers and scientific know-how in the field. The MoU was signed by Estidamah Executive General Manager Dr. Khalid Al Assaf and JAZADCO CEO Ms. Bedour Alrashoudi.
This MoU is expected to have extensive positive impacts on the Saudi national economy, and contribute to increasing the Saudi domestic product from the revenues of Saudi non-oil products and commodities; which forms one of the key objectives of the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision.
