His Highness Prince Jiluwi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, today received Dr. Khalid bin Marshoud Al-Rahili, National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah), at his office. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Rahili presented His Royal Highness with the Estidamah annual report 2024.
The report highlighted the Estidamah achievements, including applied research projects and programs that focused on supporting sustainable agricultural development in the Najran region, which is characterized by a unique agricultural environment and natural and climatic diversity..
Dr. Al-Rahili explained that the report embodies the Estidamah efforts across the Kingdom and highlights projects executed in the region, such as: Applied studies and research that aimed at improving the productivity of mango and tropical fruits. This includes implementing smart agricultural models tailored to the local environment and developing sustainable practices for crops with a comparative advantage in the region.
Dr. Al-Rahili also noted the Estidamah dedication to developing sustainable agricultural technologies and increasing the efficiency of natural resource utilization. Furthermore, Estidamah executed training and qualification programs for farmers, enhancing their productive capabilities and improving product quality.
