The National Center for Research and Development of Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) wrapped up the 2nd Forum for Agricultural Technologies, under the theme “Tissue Culture… Investment Opportunities". The forum attracted + 500 participants, including experts, researchers, representatives of government and private agencies, as well as investors, and enthusiasts in the agricultural sector.
The forum commenced with a round-table session that convened prominent experts, specialists, and representatives of related government agencies, along with investors in the agricultural field. During the session, the participants explored the potential of tissue culture and its role in creating research and investment opportunities that strengthen the sustainability of the agricultural sector.
As part of the forum, 12 specialized workshops were held, addressing the applications of tissue culture and highlighting leading scientific and practical practices. Renowned speakers from both inside and outside the Kingdom delivered the sessions, which benefited more than 300 participants, including farmers and specialists. The forum further included a dedicated training program on tissue culture technologies, attended by 35 trainees, aimed at equipping national talent with the skills to meet emerging research and practical developments in this vital field.
As part of the accompanying exhibition, 10 local and global entities participated, showcasing their latest innovations and solutions in tissue culture, providing participants with insights into diverse experiences and promising investment opportunities.
Dr. Khalid bin Marshood Al-Rohily, Director General of the National Center for Research and Development of Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah), stated that the forum represented a leading scientific and professional platform to discuss the latest developments and applications in tissue culture. Dr. Al-Rohily also highlighted that the scale of participation and outputs of the events underscore the increasing attention being given to this promising technology and its pivotal role in enhancing agricultural sustainability and efficiency.
This forum is part of Estidamah's efforts to advancing scientific research and innovation in this field, with the aim of enhancing efficiency of agricultural productivity and expanding its sustainability potential.
