About us

Read more

The Cabinet's decision was issued in the year 2019 to establish the National Center for Sustainable Agriculture Research and Development (Estidamah) with the aim of conducting applied research to develop innovative agricultural solutions and supporting research for sustainable and resilient food systems. The center focuses on food security, promoting sustainable ecological agricultural systems, and implementing measures to mitigate the effects of climate change and adapt to it. Estidamah strives to adopt and test new technologies that enhance sustainable agricultural practices in a number of areas, including increasing crop yields per unit area, improving integrated water management in agriculture by enhancing water use efficiency and halting the depletion of freshwater resources in the Kingdom.
