FAQ

Applied research in the field of sustainable agricultural development challenges, providing consultancy, training, fostering innovation, knowledge transfer, localization of modern technologies, and enabling local and international research partnerships.

Sustainable agriculture is an approach and a system that follows agricultural practices that protect the environment, help expand natural resources, and make the most of non-renewable resources. This is achieved through sustainable practices in agricultural and food production systems, which preserve the environment, enhance biodiversity, and conserve natural resources for future generations.

You can participate by joining the center's friends' group, attending scientific events organized by the center, and communicating with the center's experts and technicians through available platforms.

Among the natural challenges facing sustainable agriculture are climate change, water scarcity, and soil degradation. On the implementation side, challenges include the unsustainable use of natural resources, low efficiency, unsustainable agricultural practices, environmental pollution, and food loss and waste. At our center, we are working to find solutions to these challenges through research and development.

Follow the concepts and applications of sustainable agriculture provided by the center and benefit from the consultations and training courses offered by the center to farmers to help them implement sustainable agricultural practices, such as integrated pest management, improving water use efficiency, increasing production and productivity, and reducing environmental impact.

The center does not provide direct financial support, but it offers technical and advisory support to assist farmers in improving their agricultural practices in a sustainable manner through the channels and outlets followed by the agricultural system and in partnership with agricultural associations.

We are engaged in various research projects, including good agricultural practices for vegetable crops in controlled agricultural systems, smart agriculture applications, crop variety improvement, and water and soil management. You can learn more by visiting our center's website and following our social media accounts.

By developing agricultural technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance carbon sequestration in soils, we contribute to mitigating the impacts of climate change. The center also works to increase resilience and adaptive capacity to extreme climate conditions.
