The National Center for Sustainable Agriculture Research and Development (Estidamah) organized a workshop titled “Digital
Agriculture Applications and Remote Sensing” in conjunction with Innovation Week 2026, bringing together a distinguished group of
experts and specialists as part of its efforts to promote the adoption of advanced technologies in the agricultural sector.
The workshop aimed to showcase key applications of digital agriculture, including remote sensing technologies, Geographic
Information Systems (GIS), and data analytics, highlighting their role in improving the efficiency of agricultural
operations management, increasing productivity, and enhancing the sustainable use of natural resources.
The workshop also discussed the importance of adopting data-driven technological solutions to support agricultural decision
-making and enable farmers to improve agricultural practices, thereby contributing to agricultural sustainability and greater
production efficiency.
This workshop was held as part of Innovation Week 2026, underscoring the importance of innovation in advancing the agricultural
sector and reflecting Estidamah’s ongoing role in knowledge transfer and the promotion of modern solutions, in alignment with the
Kingdom’s sustainable agricultural development objectives.
