The National Center for Sustainable Agriculture Research and Development (Estidamah) sponsors GSR Hackathon 2026, organized by King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), which brings together a select group of innovators, researchers, and enthusiasts in modern technologies to develop innovative solutions addressing challenges across several vital sectors.
Within the Hackathon, the Center is leading the Sustainable Agriculture track, which includes a series of challenges designed to encourage participants to develop technological solutions that enhance agricultural productivity and optimize the use of natural resources, thereby contributing to sustainability in the agricultural sector.
The Center's sponsorship of the Hackathon reflects its ongoing efforts to support the innovation ecosystem, research, and development in sustainable agriculture. The Center also seeks to support high-impact initiatives that provide practical solutions to existing agricultural challenges and empower national talents, researchers, and innovators to propose ideas and projects that advance the agricultural sector.
The Center's participation in the Hackathon also serves as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration among research institutions, academic entities, and public and private sector organizations, supporting the development of innovative solutions that promote efficient resource use and sustainable agricultural production.
Registration for participation in the GSR Hackathon 2026 remains open until 10 March 2026 via the Hackathon's official website.
