The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah), in collaboration with NEOM Food Company Topian, concluded the second edition of “The Greenhouse Management Training Program" for 30 participants, including recent graduates, researchers, and agricultural practitioners, held from August 24 to 28 at its headquarters in Riyadh.
The five-day program included 40 hours of theoretical and practical training delivered by local and international experts. Participants gained skills in operating advanced climate control systems, smart irrigation, and crop monitoring. They also explored innovative solutions for water and energy conservation and learned strategies to address environmental challenges related to soil and crop health.
Dr. Khalid Al-Rohily, Director General of the National Center for Research and Development of Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah), affirmed that the program reflects Estidamah's approach to using the latest scientific methods and practical applications in the agricultural sector. Dr. Rohily also highlighted that qualifying national cadres is a fundamental pillar in developing agricultural production and enhancing the sector's sustainability. Such initiatives, he stated, play a vital role in ensuring the transfer of knowledge and localization of modern technologies in the Kingdom to enhance food security and improving the efficiency of natural resources.
Launching this program's second edition is part of Estidamah's ongoing initiatives aimed at empowering researchers, agricultural practitioners, and recent graduates to gain advanced knowledge and applied expertise, enhancing their capacity to adopt sustainable solutions and advance the agricultural sector.
