The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) has signed a tripartite cooperation agreement with the Agricultural Development Fund and the New Nabatat Compan. The signing took place during Estidamah participation in the Najran Investment Forum 2025. This strategic partnership aims to protect Najran's palm trees and other economically valuable plant varieties through the application of tissue culture technologies and knowledge transfer.
The agreement encompasses the execuation of joint initiatives in several key areas. These include tissue culture technologies and the conservation of rare and endangered plant genetic resources, supported by ADF financing. Furthermore, the pact focuses on knowledge transfer through specialized training programs and workshops, in addition to incentivizing the private sector to invest in tissue culture technologies.
This agreement comes as part of Estidama efforts to build qualitative partnerships with the public and private sectors, contributing to achieving sustainable agricultural development goals and preserving the genetic diversity of local plants in the Kingdom..
