The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) supported the Saudi Space Agency (SSA) in the inaugural “Madak Space" competition, which attracted more than 80,000 students from various Arab countries.
This support reflects Estidamah's commitment to supporting national initiatives that strengthen the role of Arab scientific research in future-oriented sectors and create new opportunities for future generations of innovators and researchers, by bridging scientific knowledge with advanced practical applications in vital fields such as agriculture and space.
During the closing ceremony, partners, supporting organizations, and jury members were honored in recognition of integration of national efforts among the Kingdom's research and scientific sectors. Estidamah's participation added significant value alongside other national partners who played a key role in the success of this pioneering initiative.
The “Madak Space" competition is the first of its kind in the Arab world, as it provides students with the opportunity to send their scientific projects to the International Space Station after intensive scientific evaluation stages that focused on the quality of the idea, its feasibility, and its expected impact on research and applied advancements in a microgravity environment.
