The National Center for Research and Development of Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) wrapped up its participation in the 42nd edition of the Saudi Agriculture Exhibition 2025, held from October 20 to 23 at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
During its participation, Estidamah signed three major agreements with Van der Hoeven, the Dutch company specializing in high-tech greenhouses; Reef National Foundation, focused on sustainable rural development; and Thamara Cooperative Association for Agricultural Marketing and Food Processing, as part of efforts to strengthen research collaboration, applied initiatives, and sustainable agricultural development.
During its participation, Estidamah launched the “Lead Farmers" Initiative, designed to showcase lead farmers who have developed successful agricultural practices or solutions that enhanced efficiency and productivity. The initiative focuses on assessing these proven field experiences, exploring their potential for further development and wider adoption among farmers, to advance sustainability and boost positive economic impact.
In conjunction with the exhibition, Estidamah hosted a workshop on “Agro-Food Systems in Dryland Regions of the Arab World," featuring ten local and international speakers and attended by +70 specialists and stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
