The National Center for Research and Development of Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Thamara Cooperative Association for Agricultural Marketing and Food Processing on the sidelines of its participation in the Saudi Agriculture Exhibition 2025, in the presence of Dr. Khalid bin Marshood Al-Rohily, Director General of Estidamah, and Mr. Najm bin Ghazi Al-Dhafiri, Chairman of Thamara Association.
The Agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in developing and supporting the agricultural sector in the Kingdom by implementing specialized research and studies, facilitating the transfer and localization of modern technologies, fostering sustainable agricultural practices, and improving agricultural production and knowledge capacity, thereby supporting the achievement of common national goals.
The Agreement marks a milestone in consolidating collaboration in agricultural R&D, knowledge transfer, and modern technology localization, by developing training materials, conducting farmer awareness workshops, and setting priorities for applied research of mutual interest.
The Agreement also enables the implementation of field research projects and the exchange of data and expertise, enhancing the efficiency of agricultural practices and boosting the value added of emerging processed and manufactured products.
This initiative reflects Estidamah's commitment to advancing the agricultural research and technology system, fostering collaboration with the cooperative sector, and promoting the development and efficiency of agricultural areas, supporting the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives for food security and sustainable development.
