The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture held an expanded workshop, in collaboration with Aramco Digital, with the participation of a select group of experts and specialists in the agricultural and digital fields. The workshop discussed the agricultural challenges facing the Kingdom and explored ways to address them by developing innovative technological solutions that support the agricultural sector.
The workshop aimed to exchange expertise and transfer knowledge among specialists, reviewing the use of digital technologies that enhance the efficiency of the agricultural sector. It also highlighted the importance of modern and sustainable technologies for developing agricultural systems and implementing best practices that contribute to localizing modern agricultural technologies in the Kingdom.
The workshop addressed some of the challenges affecting vegetation cover and the agricultural sector in general, whether caused by natural causes or human activities, such as climate change, desertification, and agricultural land degradation. Experts emphasized addressing agricultural challenges and improving crop quality and efficiency through modern technologies, conserving natural resources, and meeting the requirements of sustainable agriculture.
This comes as part of the efforts made by the National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture and Aramco Digital to drive the growth of agricultural innovation, development, and economic diversification opportunities in the Kingdom by leveraging the experiences of global and local companies in this field.
