The Director General of the National Center for Research and Development of Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah), Dr. Khalid bin Marshoud Al-Rohily received the Director of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations Program in the Kingdom, Dr. Nizar Haddad, at the Center's headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting aimed to explore areas of mutual coordination between the two sides in the fields of sustainable agriculture and food security.
During the meeting, the two parties reviewed joint areas of work and discussed ways to benefit from FAO's expertise in supporting national initiatives related to agricultural sustainability. They also discussed opportunities for cooperation in implementing training programs, developing research partnerships, and promoting innovative and resource-efficient agricultural practices.
Dr. Al-Rohily affirmed the Center's keenness to strengthen collaboration with international partners, foremost among them the FAO, to contribute to achieving the objectives of the National Agricultural Strategy and to support the food security system through scientific solutions and sustainable technologies.
This visit comes as part of the Center's efforts to build strategic partnerships with international organizations and to activate scientific initiatives that enhance the Kingdom's position as a regional hub for agricultural innovation.
