The National Center for Sustainable Agriculture Research and Development (Estidamah) showcased today Saudi solutions and technologies in the field of smart greenhouses during a scientific session it organized as part of its participation in the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP17), held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The session, titled “Smart Greenhouses: Saudi Solutions for Enhancing Food Security Amid Climate Change,” addressed the role of modern technologies in advancing protected agriculture systems and improving the efficiency of agricultural operations management, thereby contributing to increased agricultural production and strengthening the sector’s capacity to adapt to climate-related challenges.
The session also showcased a number of solutions and applications related to smart greenhouses and their role in improving the management of agricultural resources and inputs, as well as developing more efficient and sustainable production environments, particularly in regions facing climatic and environmental challenges.
The session was held as part of Estidamah’s participation in COP17 to highlight its research and applied efforts in developing and localizing sustainable agricultural technologies, while promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise in areas related to sustainable agricultural production and food security.
