The Jazan Branch of the National Center for Sustainable Agriculture Research and Development (Estidamah) received today His Excellency Advisor to the Royal Court and Member of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki. He was received by the Branch Director, Eng. Awaji bin Haidar Abu Al-Ghaith.
During the visit, His Excellency toured the Center’s facilities and research and experimental field sites, where he was briefed on the research and extension work system and the efforts undertaken to develop the agricultural sector and enhance its sustainability.
He also received a detailed overview of the Center’s key programs and initiatives, as well as its role in transferring and localizing modern agricultural technologies and improving production efficiency to support agricultural development in the region.
The visit included an inspection of the branch’s infrastructure, including specialized laboratories, research nurseries, and applied extension services provided to farmers based on modern scientific approaches.
At the conclusion of the visit, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Turki expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Center’s staff, highlighting their role in strengthening the research ecosystem and contributing to the achievement of food security and sustainable development objectives.
