His Excellency the Director General of the National Center for Sustainable Agriculture Research and Development (Estidamah), Dr. Khalid bin Marshoud Al-Rohily, received H.E. Mr. Thamer Al-Baqmi, Chief Executive Officer of Reef National Foundation, and the accompanying delegation at the Center's headquarters. During the meeting, both parties discussed prospects for joint cooperation in a manner that enhances shared directions and supports sustainable development objectives.
The meeting included a review of Estidamah's areas of work and its key research and development tracks, as well as a discussion on opportunities for integration across related initiatives and programs. It also addressed mechanisms for knowledge and expertise exchange, and coordination of efforts to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of development impact.
Dr. Al-Rohily stated that the Center places significant importance on institutional partnerships as a foundation for strengthening integrated work with national and non-profit entities. He noted that cooperation with Reef National Foundation comes within the framework of supporting impactful initiatives, expanding the scope of joint projects that serve sustainable development priorities, and activating knowledge transfer and capacity building pathways in accordance with best practices.
For his part, Mr. Al-Baqmi affirmed that Reef National Foundation seeks to build effective partnerships with specialized entities, contributing to the development of its programs and initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable rural development across the Kingdom and maximizing their economic and developmental impact. He noted that cooperation with Estidamah represents a supportive step toward strengthening joint work and enhancing coordination to achieve shared objectives.
'Estidamah' Participates in Kingdom's Pavilion at 13th Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition
The National Center for Sustainable Agriculture Research and Development (Estidamah) is participating in the Kingdom's pavilion at the 13th Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Municipality in the State of Qatar from 12 to 16 February 2026 in Doha, in the presence of H.E. Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA).
This participation reflects the Kingdom's commitment to supporting agricultural research and innovation, enhancing sustainability in the sector, and showcasing the ecosystem's efforts in developing technological solutions and modern agricultural practices.
During its participation, the Center showcases a package of applied research programs and specialized projects in areas including agricultural technology development, improving the efficiency of natural resource use, and increasing crop productivity, based on scientific methodologies grounded in research studies and applied experiments. It also highlights its efforts in knowledge transfer, capacity building, and strengthening integration with local and international partners to support the food security ecosystem.
This participation reaffirms the Center's commitment to strengthening the presence of Saudi agricultural research in regional forums and showcasing innovative solutions that advance sustainable agricultural practices, in line with modern trends in resource management and productivity optimization.
