The National Center for Sustainable Agriculture Research and Development (Estidamah) welcomed 94 male and female students participating in the Mawhiba Research Enrichment Program 2026, hosted by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), represented by Academy 32, in partnership with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba). The visit aimed to introduce the students to the Center’s role within the agricultural innovation ecosystem and provide them with an overview of the latest technologies and applied research conducted by the Center in the field of sustainable agriculture, supporting food security and contributing to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Marshoud Al-Rohily, Director General of Estidamah, expressed his pride in the promising research capabilities of this generation, emphasizing that Estidamah welcomes young Saudi talent and places its research facilities and resources at their disposal to support their academic journeys and innovative projects. This reflects the Center’s objectives of advancing knowledge transfer, technology, and innovation, while building the capabilities of a new generation of researchers capable of developing innovative solutions that support the future of sustainable agriculture in the Kingdom.
The visit included tours of several research facilities and laboratories, during which participants learned about the Center’s projects and the solutions it provides to improve agricultural production efficiency, as well as its role in innovation and sustainability and the preservation of natural resources. The visit also featured interactive dialogue sessions with researchers and specialists on the applications of modern technologies in water resource management and the development of sustainable agricultural systems.
The visit is part of Estidamah’s efforts to strengthen engagement with young Saudi talent, foster innovation and creativity, promote scientific knowledge, and inspire a generation capable of developing sustainable solutions that contribute to building a more prosperous future.
