The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (“Estidamah”), in collaboration with the Qassim Branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, conducted two specialized workshops addressing best agricultural practices for the production, harvesting, and baling of seasonal fodder, as well as the management and operation of greenhouses. The workshops were held as part of the Center’s efforts to facilitate knowledge transfer and promote the adoption of modern agricultural practices.
The workshop on “Best Agricultural Practices for the Production, Harvesting, and Baling of Seasonal Fodder” covered a range of technical aspects related to seasonal fodder production, harvesting and baling practices, and the factors affecting fodder quality. The workshop aimed to enhance knowledge of appropriate agricultural practices and improve the efficiency of agricultural operations related to fodder production.
The “Greenhouse Management and Operation” workshop addressed the technical fundamentals of greenhouse management and operation, key practices related to managing agricultural activities within greenhouses, and the factors affecting crop growth and productivity. These practices support the optimal use of resources and improve production efficiency in protected agriculture systems.
The organization of these two workshops forms part of Estidamah’s ongoing efforts to transfer scientific and technical knowledge to beneficiaries across various regions of the Kingdom, and to align modern agricultural knowledge and practices with the needs of the agricultural sector. These efforts contribute to the development of the agricultural production system and enhance its sustainability.
