Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Alsoqeer has been a board member of Estidamah Research Center since 2019-present. Dr. Abdulrahman obtained his Bachelor of Agricultural Science - Horticultural Crop Production - King Saud University (1987), his M.Sc. in Agricultural Science - Field Crop Production - King Saud University (1995) and his Ph.D. in Field Crop Production - University of Nottingham - UK (2004).
Dr. Abdulrahman occupied several positions, including Agricultural Researcher - The Ministry of Agriculture (1407-1409A.H.), Agricultural Specialist - Riyadh Municipality (1409-1417A.H.), Assistant Professor - Department of Plant Production and Prevention, Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine - Qassim University (1425-1432A.H.) and professor in the same department since 1438A.H. - up to date.
As well, Dr. Abdulrahman was appointed as a member of various councils, including a member of the university’s Scientific Research Council (1428-1431A.H. and 1436-1437A.H.), representative of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in agricultural committees in Qassim chamber of commerce and industry, member of the Plant-based Products Committee - Food Drug Authority, member of the organizing committee and head of the media committee for the Second International Date Palm Conference - Qassim University (2016) and member of the executive committee - Sustainable Development Center - Qassim University (1438A.H. To date).
On the other hand, Dr. Abdulrahman has taken part in several specialized committees, including - but not limited to - co-founder of Qassim Center for Creation and Innovation (under establishment), head of the academic committee - Intelligent Agriculture: Innovation and Food Security Forum (November 2019), head of the academic committee - Sustainable Agriculture: Safe Product and Clean Environment Forum - Qassim University (27th Feb. 2019), member of Environment Committee - Qassim region and head of the consultation committee, co-founder and board chairman of Environmental Green Horizons Society (voluntary society), co-founder and board chairman of Environmental Awareness Society (voluntary society under establishment).
Prof. Abdulrahman has an accumulated extensive scientific and practical experience, as he was the chief researcher in many agricultural, plant genetic engineering, biological control and vegetation research papers. He has more than 12 published papers on the environment and vegetation.
