The Jazan branch of the National Center for Sustainable Agriculture Research and Development (Estidamah) organized a specialized workshop titled “Fig Tree Cultivation and Care to Enhance Productivity," aiming to strengthen knowledge on modern fig tree care techniques and apply agricultural practices that contribute to improving productivity in the region.
The workshop reviewed the latest scientific techniques and practices in fig tree cultivation, focusing on innovative methods for irrigation, fertilization, pest and disease management, as well as pruning and training techniques that help improve fruit quality and increase production in a sustainable manner suitable for Jazan's climatic conditions.
The workshop aimed to equip participating farmers and agricultural specialists in the Jazan region with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement modern agricultural practices and benefit from the latest scientific research in fig cultivation, ensuring optimal use of water and soil resources in the region.
This workshop comes as part of the ongoing efforts by Estidamah's Jazan branch to transfer scientific knowledge, localize modern agricultural technologies, and support farmers with the latest solutions that enhance productivity and sustainability, contributing to the achievement of food security.
